She's a Legendary Demon Hunter [Rebirth] - Chapter 20
“Old Man, I have to go home.” Mi Wan switched off the alarm.
“Then you’d better go back quickly.”
“Old Man, your dog is especially intelligent. I think its health isn’t bad either. You should be able to bring it home in two to three days and it will recover.” Mi Wan was afraid that the old man would spend more money, so she couldn’t help but remind him, “You’d better look after it properly in the future. Don’t let it go out and hurt people.”
“It won’t. Mao Mao doesn’t bite people,” the old man hastily denied.
That’s because you couldn’t hear its threats.
Mi Wan was not satisfied. She turned to look at the situation inside the medical room. The dog demon seemed to have felt something and also turned to look back at her.
(Do not hurt people, or else…) Mi Wan subtly made a throat-cutting gesture.
The dog’s eyes lowered and it turned its head back to its original position, but its restlessly twitching tail betrayed its expressions.
Mi Wan knew that it heard her so she bid goodbye to the old man and left the pet hospital.
However, before she went back, she decided to stop at the convenience store to buy snacks for herself.
“Hey, clerk, I’m ready to pay up.” It took Mi Wan three minutes to grab a bunch of snacks and pile them on the counter. She hasn’t tasted any of these snacks before, so she bought all of them.
“You’re a bit late today.” The clerk was pretty familiar with the customer who came in the middle of the night and buys the store out of snacks every two days.
“I was delayed by something.” As she spoke, she pulled out her mobile phone and was ready to scan her mobile account and pay the bill.
“By the way, there’s someone looking for you. They’ve been waiting for you for several days now.” The clerk suddenly recalled.
“Looking for me? Who is it?”
I shouldn’t have anyone that’s familiar with me.
“Over there, he had waited for you all night and fell asleep…” The clerk nudged his chin in that direction.
Mi Wan turned to look.
Oh, it really is a familiar person. Nope, more like a familiar demon.
Seeing that the clerk would be busy on the side for a while, Mi Wan walked over with her mobile phone and woke the sleeping person up with a slap. The sparrow spirit was already in a daze, so when he woke up and saw Mi Wan, he thought that he was still in a dream..
“What do you want from me?” Asked Mi Wan.
Hearing Mi Wan’s voice, the sparrow spirit realized that it was not a dream, and suddenly shouted, “Great benefactor, I’ve finally found you.”
“… Speak properly.” Mi Wan shoved the sparrow spirit’s eagerly approaching face to the side.
“Let’s talk after I pay the bill.” Mi Wan bought so much stuff that it filled all the space of the counter, so much so that the clerk was unable to use the cash register.
“Here, let me do it.” The sparrow spirit was quite eager and diligent. He hurried up to the counter to pay, bagged all the stuff, and then placed the food in front of Mi Wan. “Benefactor, your snacks.”
Well, it’s because you need my help.
“Let’s hear it.” After coming out of the convenience store, the two squatted on the familiar front steps. “I’ll give you five minutes.” Seeing that you paid for my snacks.
“Only five minutes? I’ve been waiting for you for three days.” It was obvious that the sparrow demon was not satisfied with the time limit.
“Then don’t talk. I’m in a hurry to go home.” Mi Wan stood up and was about to leave.
“I’ll talk, I’ll talk…” The sparrow spirit hurriedly stopped her. “I wanted to confirm something with you… Well… My demonic power suddenly started flowing more smoothly and I can also transform. Was it because of you?”
“No, it was because you drank liquor and magically opened up the second vein in your meridians.”
“So it really was you! Savior… Can I ask you for something else?” The sparrow demon was not stupid. How could anyone not understand that this person in front of him was the one who helped him? Today, in addition to seeking confirmation, he also wanted a favor from Mi Wan. He didn’t want to be so direct, but she was only limiting him to five minutes.
“No,” Mi Wan said without hesitation.
You must be joking. I’m a legendary demon hunter. Does that sound like someone who would help a demon? Did you think you’re like the Demon bro next door? I’m still indebted to him for any future issues.
“I can pay for it.”
Mi Wan immediately squatted down again and asked seriously, “How much?”
“As…as long as you can fix the problem, money won’t be an issue.” As soon as the sparrow spirit saw Mi Wan’s interest, it quickly declared its offer.
How did today’s demons get so rich?
“What’s the problem?” Asked Mi Wan.
“I have a friend. She has problems transforming. Can you help take a look at her?”
“It’s also a sparrow?”
“It’s a chicken.”
A sparrow and a chicken?
“… Bring her to me tomorrow and I’ll take a look,” Mi Wan said.
